This was one of the mornings I was early for the beat down that I attend. It was a beautiful morning in the mid-50’s…the perfect temperature. As the Pax gathered, there was stretching and conversation beginning already. I asked the two site Qs to pick a number between 1 and 3 and that determined which workout we went to first. Honey Pot chose 2 so we started our morning working on our beach bods…abs.
We moseyed to the back parking lot for the warm-o-rama and I let one fly. I don’t know what it is about the Chatterbox that makes me cuss. But it was only that one time. I was good from there on out. Ha ha!
After the warm-o-rama, we moseyed to the tennis courts where I had my portable weinke made from a cardboard box. Lots of comments were made about my use of the disposable signs, but I know everyone was envious of the quality of cardboard that was used for this box. It was sturdy. I broke the Pax up into four groups to spread us out.
We did 4 Corners. At each corner there was an exercise we needed to do. The reps increased by 5 at each corner, if you were to start at the first corner. Then that number was doubled each round. There were three rounds.
Corner 1: Toe Touches (laying flat on the ground, bring your toes up and touch the fence) 5/10/20
Corner 2: American Hammers (Kodiak) 10/20/40
Corner 3: Freddy Mercury’s (Kodiak) 15/30/60
Corner 4: LBCs 20/40/80
When we were all done, we moseyed to station 2, which was over by the pull-up bars. On the way, we picked up a coupon. At this station we did 1 round of the below exercises. 30 reps each. If the exercise was split, meaning you had to do some on each side, it was 15 reps per side. We ran to the softball fence in between each set for our rest.
Tricep Extensions 30
Overhead Press 30
Side Bends (15 each side) – this is where you hold the coupon on your side and work your oblique muscles by bending toward that side.
Bent Over Rows (15 each arm)
Upright Rows 30
Then we moseyed over to the basketball courts. Honeypot and I picked up some b-balls on the way. But these were just a distraction until the last 10 minutes.
At the Basketball Courts, we did 11’s and ran the entire length of both courts. However, we did BOMBS at the halfway mark. We did just one set on the way to the far end, not on the way back.
Starting exercise was Mike Tyson’s
O-Overhead Claps (10)
B-Big Boy Sit-ups (20)
Ending exercise were Monkey Humpers, thanks to Sgt. Slaughter.
We went through 5 sets of each and then played Ultimate Basketball until time.
COT and then coffee.
