YHC brought out an old BD from Lions Den past. Have bucket of balls, will travel. Arrived 40min early to position the softballs in lower Liberty bus lane lot. Also dropped off a 33lb plate for restrictor plating the teams. YHC hopes no custodians arrive to school early, run over the plate (standing in the center of the lot), and send him the bill for repairs. Return to the flag and await arrival. Discover Snap On, Saget, and his brother FNG prerunning.

PAX continue to arrive, time to mozy, head down to the edge Bells Ferry for roadside marketing warm-o-rama. Circle up for SSH, Windmill, Weedpicker, Annie, Chinooks, Sungods.. not in that order. YHC calls for count off by by 2s, but confuses everyone by saying “person on your left is your teammate…” meant 1s but we figure it out.

Slowest Q, YHC, in the region instructs a mozy to hidden Lions Den Coupon pile, with a request for an air chair hold for the 6 periodically to let YHC catch up. PAX obliges, we reach to the coupon pile, retrieve 1 cinder block per team, and then make our way to other end of bus lane by having Pax 1 plank, while Pax 2 hold coupon overhead lunging. Realize too slow for distance/time so after 1/2 way to light pole audible to walk the remainder then overhead press while waiting on other PAX to advance, swap plank & lunger, and continue teamwise inching forward until we reach to bucket of balls.

YHC had posted a list of coupon related exercises on a poster, and planted next to the bucket of softballs. Instructions.. each team retrieves a ball, PAX 1 throws ball down bus lane as far as possible, while PAX 2 runs to retrieve ball, PAX 1 does reps of exercise with cinder block. Swap with PAX 2, then progress thru exercises. Also 33lb plate is to be retrieved by 1st team then placed in front of any other team to slow/restrictor their retrieval.

List of exercises: Curl, Overhead Press, Elf on Shelf, Bench Press, Squat (chest hold), Pull Over, Man Maker Merkin, Squat (goblet style), Block Swings, Shrugs (R-Down, L-Back), Stiff Dead Leg Lift, Coupon Burpee.

Much dodging of balls, and kicking of balls, and passing around the 33lb plate. Time draws to a close so YHC calls for return of balls to bucket, return of cinder blocks to pile (in similar inch forward fashion), and mozy back toward flag. Call for a stop at bottom of incline to Bernie backward up the parking lot incline. Upon reaching top call for a 21. Ma Deuce has trouble so we 5 burpee penalty, 21 again (where YHC feels it in legs), and after 2nd inability to clean up the conclusion YHC just gets everyone to head back to the flag in defeat.

6th man from Blackhawk, Sagets FNG is brother who works for State Department so gets name Deep State, and announcements and prayers for health issues, etc. Quick photo, and coffeeteria.

Always a good turnout at Lions Den. Special place, special people, special bonds.
