An Avatar is defined as either:

1. an icon or figure representing a particular person…or
2. a manifestation of a deity or released soul in bodily form on earth…

Goose the dog showed up at the Forge today, the exact 4 legged embodiment of his owner, Bert Blackburn. He (Goose) clearly acted like his dad while dodging under foot, running hither and yon and chewing on sweaty gloves. But, YHC would submit that he (Goose) is also the very manifestation of his (Drumstick’s) soul. I have long pondered the things that might be going on in that fertile mind of his (Drumstick) and I’d be lying if I denied wondering just how long and often he (Drumstick) thinks about face sitting, nut licking and general submissiveness. When I saw him (Goose) behaving in just that way, it all made perfect, cosmic sense.

Metaphysical matters aside, the Physical situation at the Forge this a.m. was typical: bouts of mockery and rudeness broken up by the swinging and lifting of kettlebells. All the complaining was ultimately lost to YHC in the fog of wonder over just how intertwined the hearts and minds of Goose and Drummy are. Like the number of licks needed to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, the world may never know.

Otherwise, it was great to see the shell of the man formerly known as Trill back at it. The snot rattling around in his head was audible.
