WARMUP:
Mosey around the back of the church and up the hill. Needed to gauge distance and I immediately altered the route for the beatdown, haha.
THE THANG:
The Tr-Ace (Triad + Mace) 3000. Combination of Triad and Mace PAX mixed with an offhand conversation from Tallyman finished with a touch of backblast “borrowing” lead us here:
PAX performed the following exercises for points. After each 100 points is obtained, you take a lap (around the bottom of the stairs and back)
Man Makers – 10 points each
Kettlebell Swings – 5 points each
Squats – 2 points each
Flutter Kicks (Kodiak Count) – 1 point each
This version forced PAX to choose 1 exercise to get to 100 points and then take a lap. PAX could not repeat an exercise until all 4 were completed. This added variety while limiting complexity.
The feedback was mixed with notable quotes such as “you tricked us into running” or “this beatdown sucks, but the playlists is good” or even “I thought this was a 0.0”, haha.
At the end, the highest any PAX got was 1700 points so we will need to lower the standard to make it achievable, but I’ll plan that for a future beatdown.
Had PAX wrap up their lap or exercise depending on where they were to circle up for a little competition Mary.
MARY:
We did this a few weeks back, but we lined up the kettlebells in a row and had PAX face off against each other with a kettlebell plank race down the line of bells where they had to touch each bell with their left and right hands as they plank walked down the line. The Mace guys didn’t slack on this challenge and we had some great competition.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
THIS Thursday, we converge with Mace at Happy Jack!! Be there
COT: Coffee and great fellowship. You guys rock
