Warm-Up
We started with an Indian Run to the end of the road and back
We counted in NEAR PERFECT Cadence:
Side Straddle Hops (SSH): 15 reps
Weed Pickers: 10 reps
Imperial Walkers: 15 reps
Toy Soldiers: 10 reps each side
This got everyone warmed up and ready for the main event.
Main Workout
Round 1: Stationary Circuit w/ Parking Lot Run
The PAX performed each exercise at one pickle and ran around the other pickle in the parking lot
1st set:
Merkins: 25 reps
Squats: 30 reps
LBCs (Little Baby Crunches): 20 reps
Plank Jacks: 20 reps
We repeated this sequence a second time, reducing each exercise to 10 reps.
Next, we added the Bye Bye Bye Burpee Challenge to finish Round 1. NSYNC sang us 30+ burpees that we dropped and did each time we heard a “Bye Bye”
Partner Challenges (15 Minutes)
Wheelbarrow Walks & Pushes
Partner A held Partner B’s legs while Partner B walked to the the first light pole. The PAX switched roles and repeated.
Catch Me If You Can
Partner A performed 10 Merkins while Partner B ran backward. Then, they switched roles. We repeated this pattern to ensure both partners completed the run and exercise.
It’s Tricky
During It’s Tricky by Run-D.M.C., we did a burpee every time the word “Tricky” was repeated (36 times total).
We used the corners of the parking lot for this pyramid square thing. The exercise:
5 Burpees -> 10 Merkins -> 15 Squats -> 20 LBCs -> 15 Squats -> 10 Merkins -> 5 Burpees
The PAX moved through the sequence efficiently, staying strong through the progression. Some mumblechatter on the legitimacy of squares in a pyramid ensued.
Cool Down (5 Minutes)
We finished with Mary led by wimpy.
Circle of Trust (COT)
Prayers for the Pirate.
