Escalator of pain followed by Howling Monkeys!

The Thang

Escalator for Round # 1 and De-Escalator for Round # 2.

For Round #1 the exercise began with 10 Burpees, up the stairs, followed by a lap around the amphitheater. Each stage added a new exercise that increased by 10 reps = 10,20,30,40.  This continued for 4 stages.

For Round # 2 all 4 exercises were included in Stage 1, but in reverse order = 40,30,20,10, eventually finishing the circuit at the last stage with 10 Burpees.

Since Group 1 finished the circuit before Group 2, YHC instructed Group 1 to continue exercises on their own until Group 2 completed the circuit. Once Group 1 was done PAX moved over to the flag for some punishment know as Howling Monkeys.

Howling Monkeys

YHC instructed everyone to gather in a circle and grab their ankles in a Monkey Humper fashion. The first person, YHC, does 10 Monkey Humpers followed by the next person and so on. Don’t let go of  those ankles! PAX did 2 rounds.  In the first round each PAX was asked to name their favorite band and in the second round each PAX was asked to name a favorite movie.  This was a real burner! Once completed we had a few minutes left for some MARY, which included 10 more Burpees!  We got 90 Burpees in 45 minutes!

Enjoyed coffeeteria and great mumble-chatter with my fellow brothers.
