Mosey – half lap around the WT track to football field. Circle up for standard PB warmo. Did name o rama before warming up since we had PAX from Cat Box and War Towne together for first time in a while.
The Thang: Dora style beatdown on turf field. Partner up. P1 does exercise, P2 runs to opposite goal line and back. Flapjack. Wrinkle was that after PS completed each exercise, they needed to partner carry one another to 50 yard line and back, then move to next exercise. Exercises and reps were as follows:
- Burpees (50)
- BBS (100)
- Imperial Walkers (150) (2x)
- Flutter kicks (200) (2x)
- Merkins (250)
There were other planned exercises, but no team got beyond the merkins. The partner carry piece of this workout really started to suck after the second time and resulted in much grumbling from the PAX. Near about the 30 minute mark, Couch Fire needed a minute to contemplate whether he would splash merlot and then had to walk 50 yards instead of run. I told him this would be forever known as the beat down that broke Couch Fire. But, to his credit, he rebounded nicely and finished strong.
After 35 minutes of Dora, we shifted to playing speedball. After a furious start by the shirts, the skins rallied nicely to prevail. Each time a team scored a TD, the other team did 3 burpees.
COT: Combined with Woodshed. Pick 6, 2.0, was given her name because she voluntarily passed the ball to the other team during speed ball near her own goal line, which resulted in 6. Prayers to Sky Q. Great coffeeteria with Munchkins. Tackleberry and Blackhawk showed up for the COT even though they had posted at the Box.
Naked Man Moleskin: Was great to be back at the Towne with a lot of current Cat Boxers, who are the Towne OG’s. Need to mix these PAX more often. Hope the War Towner’s will travel up to the Box or will take a Q at the Box! I believe I am missing one of the PAX that posted, because we had a total of 17. Oh well – Cobain.
FN1: 2.0’s in attendance: Chicken Fight; Raven Claw; Pick 6 (FNG); Crayola
