Celebrated Cherokee’s first Friday workout of 4 years by playing some games.

Started out with typical warm up at the front of the school.

Then played a round of tag (despite the Q being informed that Safari had just done this). Partner A run backwards while Partner B performs 5 merkins and then sprints to catch up and then flip flop.

After tag we played some PAX, PAX, HIM! Always a fan favorite you could definitely see some strategy (and cheating is a strategy apparently among this group) coming into play with PAX selections of who they wanted chasing them. Everyone got a turn to pick and be picked before moving on.

Next up was Steal the Coupon, which in this case was a basketball for each team. Lined up across from similar speed PAX in the pick up line and counted off. 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, etc. Each side then walked EQUIDISTANCE from the coupons and awaited their fate. Woody called out random numbers, some 2-3 times and some none at all, and those numbers would sprint to the middle, pick up a ball and then sprint back. All other PAX would perform AMRAP exercises picked by the winning team.

The next event was relay races while dribbling the basketballs. Starting out EQUIDISTANCE from the cones, first person from each team takes off dribbling the ball to the middle, around the cone and back to their line passing it to the next PAX. First team making through all members wins. Lots of shady dealings in this one.

Last event was a shuffle pass relay. 2 PAX from each team shuffle passing it back and forth to the cone and back and passing it to the next group.

Fun times were had…until Geek and Maaco found out we don’t always do coffee at Crossroads. We tried explaining that we show up for more than just coffee, like the guys to our right and left, but they were having none of it! Q promised if they should venture north again we would make sure to be more hospitable.
