The Pax showed up and did some stuff…
Wait, what!? No! There is waaay more to it than that! On a lovely cool(er) than normal June Saturday, the PAX showed up and kicked some butt in the “The Waffle House of Pain”. After a Warm O’ Rama involving stretches, Saget Yoga? and running we got to work.
First up, an EMOM of Pike Merkins and Pistols where some redefined how picnic tables at a park can be utilized to add some shoulder mass.
Then, the big game, the “All Star Special”. Broken in to teams of three (insert lots of math here) the group completed two sessions of 10 and 12 minutes with a 5 min. break in between. Session 1 movements included coupon thrusters, jumping pullups and 100m runs. The “twist” of the day was that the winning team of the competition would not be the one with the most reps. but the team who most demolished their score from the first of the two sessions (insert way too much math here).
Session two included bur-pee box step-ups, coupon overhead lunges and 100m runs. In the end one team emerged victorious, there was some laughter, sweat and tears and I was honored to see Chops run faster than I have ever seen (that dude can haul!).
Great Work Gents!
