We did a Maaco style warmup (10 SSHs) and immediately got to work.
Run a ~1/2 mile loop
- at the halfway point do 15 burpees
- At the start / end point do the exercise on the board (move down to the next exercise with each lap)
YHC got 3 miles in, 90 burpees, and a bunch of other stuff that added up to me keeping my promise of miles and lots of calories burned.
After a week away for vacation (not exactly rest and relaxation, but no job related work), I was stoked to be back with my brothers at the Colosseum. I’ve started to really appreciate the 2nd F time to be found during a pre-run (even one as disjointed as the one YHC did with Gut Check and Maaco this morning). I haven’t gotten to a point where my 1st F is solid enough to keep the pace I would like to during the BD after a pre-run, but it’s forcing me further out of my comfort zone and has me walking into the BD with my heart rate already elevated.
Grateful for every man who posted this morning and look forward to seeing those who missed out later this week.
