What happens when you take 2 tough routines and add them together? We found out this morning.
Mosey around the entire park while Careless Whisper plays catch-up. Circled up on the stage for:
10x Weed Pickers
10x Copperhead Squats
10x Toy Soldiers
OYO Arm Circles (frontwards and backwards)
OYO Michael Phelps
We were already in place for the first routine so we set the timer and got started.
The 10 in 10
Simple enough, do 10 Burpees as fast as you in under 60 seconds. Any extra time is a rest period. The count resets at the top of each minute for 10 minutes so basically you’re doing 100 burpees in 10 minutes. At least we had some good music.
Credit goes to Geek Squad who told me about this horrendous starting routine.
The Short Short Long
We had 9 PAX so we divided into groups of 3 for this routine. 1 PAX runs down the stage, up the first set of stairs to the top, performs 5x Burpees, and then runs back to the group. The other 2 members are performing AMRAP routines of 20x Merkins, 20x Big Boys, and 20x Squats until the runner returns. Once the runner returns, the entire group ran the outer loop of the amphitheater and came back to the stage. Once back, the 2nd member ran the short loop and so on and so forth. This provided us with the meat of our cardio for this morning and we got somewhere over 2 miles in when we moseyed back to the flag.
Finished the morning with just over a minute of Box Cutters which felt like an eternity. Thanks Saluki!
Credit for this routine goes to C4 who tried to murder me at the Happy Jack a few weeks back.
Name-o-rama, 6th man (Careless Whisper), praises, and prayers
Naked Man Moleskin:
Prayers and Praises for the newborns that were welcomed into the community over the past week. Also prayers for Stopwatch and family who are heading off for a mission trip to Jamaica for the next few weeks. Safe travels buddy.
Careless Whisper is dealing with an upcoming move so prayers for him and the family and definitely reach out to the community when it’s time to move and we can help out.
It is amazing to see the growth that we have experienced in F3 over the past few years. I’m approaching my 3 year anniversary and I can’t believe how much we have grown. The Clinic will always hold a special place since it is the starting point for so many great PAX and other locations in the South. It’s been a long, hilarious road for the location and the PAX that have come through but it is a staple that is not going anywhere anytime soon. Already planning the next beatdown! Until next time.
