I planned 6 games, looking back at it, I would only do 2, maybe 3 tops. Overall, successful beatdown.
Warm up, run up to the top of the stairs, then warm up:
- Side straddle hops
- Weed pickers
- Sun gods
Then run down the stairs
Game 1: race around the steps
Rules: first to complete 5 laps while bunny hoping wins.
Prize: skips the first round of the next game.
Game 2: musical laps
Rules: Each round you get a travel and challenge. There are also 12 numbers written on the ground in a sqaure. When the music begins you must travel between the squares as mentioned at the start of the round. When the music is paused, you will complete the closest number of the challenge exercise. The winner is whoever lands on 20 the most.
Prize: 3 rounds standing
- Warhammers: situps with American hammers.
- Jack knives
- Crunches 8 count
- Side thrusts each side
- Jlos 4 count
- American hammer touches 4 count
- Walmart burpees: burpees with a situp instead of a merkin
- Plank left plank right
- Bunny hops
- Long jumps
- Bear crawls
- Crawl bears
- Bear crawls
- Crab walk
- Side shuffle
Game 3: jogs to burpees
Rules: everyone jogs in place, when the instructor yells down, everyone does a burpee, last to complete one is eliminated, this continues until one person is left. Losers stand off to the side and continue doing burpees
Prize: +5 to next score.
Game 4: push up race.
Rules: whoever completes the most push-ups in 5 minutes wins.
Prize: 10 second leeway
Game 5: balls to the wall last standing.
Rules: whoever can last the longest in balls to the wall gets to skip 1 up and down in the next game. Loser walk away from the wall and do lunges until the last man standing is left.
Game 6: bring Salley up down competition.
Rules: as people drop out, they must do big boy situps.
Prize: Choose first exercise for merry.
I appreciate working with the pax who let me experiment around with these crazy and weird ideas for beatdowns. I’ve been in and out of places receiving mixed reception for trying different things, and lately that’s left me feeling very out of place. I can say without a doubt it’s extremely nice to have an outlet to try and tinker to find new ideas.
