WARMUP: Mosery to the Turf LAX Field, circle up at midfield; flawless rendition of the Mission Stmt..and the normals..SSH, Weed Pickers, Imperial Walkers (those damn British and their imperialistic ways), Good Morning Americas, & Michael Phelps, of course…
THE THANG: while doing the Phelps, YHC counted off by 1 or 2 to split the pax up into two teams of 4. After a quick game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, the loser Leaky’s team became the British, while YHC’s team became the Colonists…mosey to the goal line.
Battle #1 – 1776’s
The team does the amount of reps, as a team, of each exercise. The first to finish is victorious:
1. 200 Merkins
2. 200 Jump Squats
3. 200 LBCs
4. LAP
5. 200 HR Merkins
6. 200 Monkey Humpers
7. 200 Leg Raises
8. LAP
9. 200 Squats
10. 200 BBS
11. 176 American Hammers (Kodiak)
12. LAP
* The colonists win! The RedCoats jumped out to the early lead, but after underestimated those pesky colonists and their math skills, the Colonists pulled off the upset. Also, some mentions about tea-bagging in the harbor, black balls and other unmentionables
Battle #2 – Fox Holes
Both the Colonists and British line lay face down on the goal line, role over and do 1 merkin, continuing this to the 50..first entire team to the 50, victory awaits! Not sure what the RedCoats were doing here, but lots of baby crawling, “oh, i’m dizzy, my tea is cold.”
Colonist Victorious
Finished up with some Burpee Broadjumps back to the goal line, moseyed to the payground for some 11s (Dips/Step-ups)..time running low. Short mosey to the flag…
MARY: Babyface led w/ some American Hammers
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Convergence of Friday..Pella needs some help to run another station.
COT: Prayers for Yugo and the sudden loss of his mom, Slum Lord and Paper Jam
Great way to start Independence Week, getting after it a little with the nice, cool crisp morning, dry turf field and a little competition. Good work!
