Our scheduled Q was a late scratch – so everyone at the Colosseum was a leader today. YHC moseyed us around the parking lot, led a quick warmup, and then laid out a framework for the BD. We called it a “Community Q” (because we’re terribly unoriginal).
Each PAX chooses an exercise, rep count, and then calls the cadence (of done in cadence). Once a PAX completes the exercise, run the ~1/4 mile lap around the parking lot and plank on the 6. Rinse and repeat for all PAX.
The run kept the heart rate up. Combine that with every man’s desire to make the next round of work a little harder than the prior round and we wound up with a very solid BD.
JoyCon was the last man up when we were almost out of time. So, we moseyed back to the flag and he called Mary for us. And oh yeah – he’s 12!!! Didn’t back down from the pressure YHC put on him to pick and exercise and lead it. Just got on his six, told us to do some Rosalitas, and counted the cadence like a pro. It’s been awesome to have him joining us at almost every BD this summer.
