With plenty of help from the Vineyard men YHC didn’t forget he had the Q this morning. 8 men beat the fartsack and answered the call this morning! Rain on the horizon and the morning thick with humidity we moseyed to the front of the school to begin
Moseyed to the front of the school where we were greeted by a Fox 5 news van. Unfortunately, not for us, but we decided to give him a show anyway
Circled up for:
10x Weed Pickers
10x Imperial Walkers
OYO SunGods (frontwards and backwards)
OYO Michael Phelps
Time to begin!
Corner 1: Pestilence AKA 10 Minute Burpee Palooza
Already circled up so let’s get right to it (maintained a 6 foot distance since we might end up on the news). YHC set a Tabata Timer for 10 rounds at 60 seconds each. Goal was to do 10 Burpees as fast as you can each minute using the remainder as rest time between intervals.
Used the remaining seconds as rest before we moved to the next corner
Corner 2: War AKA The Wall of 11’s
PAX chose a spot on the wall for a round of 11’s. Exercises were Step-Ups (we’ve had some bad experiences doing wall jumps on this wall) and Dips. Quick 10-count until we moseyed to the Grapes of Wrath hill for corner 3
Corner 3: Death AKA Side Straddle Hill
PAX partnered up for this one. 1 PAX ran up the hill and back while the other PAX did SSH’s. Partners picked up each other’s counts until they reached the magic number, 400 SSH’s. Another quick 10-count and then we moseyed to the final corner to the front of the school.
Corner 4: Famine AKA The Quarter Pounder
PAX lined up across the parking lot. One the command ‘GO’ they sprinted to the first light pole (roughly 25 yrds away) to perform an exercise and then sprinted back. Then we sprinted to the 2nd light pole and so on and so forth until we reached the 4th light pole. Exercises were:
1st pole – 25 Carolina Dry Docks
2nd pole – 50 Squats
3rd pole – 75 Mountain Climbers (Rubicon Count)
4th pole – 100 SSH’s
PAX swept up the 6 as we moseyed back to the flag to wrap-up with 30 seconds of Mary. Great work!
Naked Man Moleskin:
First day back to school for most of us so there were many praises and prayers to share. The Vineyard is coming up on 2 years! Can’t believe it’s already been 2 years. Still don’t think we’ve covered all of this AO in that time either. The men of the Vineyard have and will always be some of the most inspirational PAX in the region. I appreciate each and every one of you and can’t wait to celebrate another year!
