I arrived a little early to warm up. Weather is nice, checked the radar, and no rain in sight. Get a little warm up mile and slowly the PAX roll in. Individually, each PAX asked to go over the route. By the time Z rolled up, I had explained the damn thing 5 times…then…it started pouring down rain. No worries, lets get some! Picanha is a liar, dude takes off a 6 minute mile pace never to been seen until we get back to Dunkin, haven’t worked out in years…my ass! ❤️ you man! We hit the route, we settle into the run, and it literally poured down rain the entire run. We emerge back from the noonday creek trail, and miraculously the clouds part and the rain stops. Picanha couldn’t stay for third F, just showed up us old guys and hit the road. 6 soaking wet men, walk into the new redesigned, sparkling clean Dunkin. There is water all over the floor, not one person could figure out where to start the line, total s*&t show! We order our coffees and such, head to the patio for some classic 2nd F. We talked about Tarentino movies, good times at the blue ghost arcade, uneven wear patterns on our running shoes, some “California” red hot chili pepper cartoon video, struggles on the airplane, rental car prices, and so much more. Good times had by all, and another day in the life of the Sunday morning run club!
