YHC knew that he couldn’t waste the PAX’s time at CatBox so the BD had to deliver. Criteria was pull-ups, sand and volume. What better way to start than with a “quick” mosey. Typical moseys are usually short to warm up, but knowing this group was ready to go we went ahead with a 1/2 mile mosey around the pool and back to the flag.
Circle up for SSHs, Weedpickers, Sungods, Michael Phelps and come quick copperhead merkins and squats. Then time to get to it.
Head on over to the playset for a bit of Tabata between pull-ups and swerkins. Half start on pull-ups and other half on swerkins. 40 sec work and 20 sec rest (rest defined as getting back to the other station). Setup some alternative grips for inverted rows as well to hit different parts of the back. PAX was strong with the mumble chatter being the only thing stronger. Was told a few times “I hate you” which is the sincerest form of flattery. Audible called after a few rounds so that we would finish up in the volleyball pit.
Escalator de Dora happened in a big way at sandbox with some coupons for added pleasure. Dora consisted of
300 Flutter Kicks (Single Count)
400 Air Presses
For the 100, 200 and 300 reps mode of transportation was bear crawl/crawl bear with coupon in the sandbox and flap jack.
For the 400 and 500 reps mode of transportation was coupon lunges.
Extra credit was an AMRAP of 25 coupon curls while partner did reverse grip merkins, but noone made it.
Time ran out so put back coupon and end with name-o-rama, 6th man (Soup which I cannot find in the PAX names), naming of FNG Callahan (working in logistics and Tommy Boy, it just made sense) and COT (A thank you to Ice T for leading prayer).
Hopefully YHC delivered a proper beatdown to the CatBox and will be invited back in the future. And thanks for keeping me accountable PB.
