Quagmire had the great idea to start the pre-run at 0545 so a full 6 laps around the park could be completed. Pre-run started at 0545 as planned but there was no Quagmire in sight. Misty took it upon himself to start pushing the pace about halfway through blazing some 7 minute miles on the way to a 10k PR.
Kicked things off by moseying up to the parking lot by the tennis courts for some SSH, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, and Weedpickers. Frisbee guys took the field like it was theirs so an audible needed to be called.
PAX ran and hopped over the fence to the picnic tables for a round of Aken Legs to kick things off. 10 Jump Squats, 10 Box Jumps, 10 Step Ups (Kodiak Count), 10 Bonnie Blairs (Kodiak Count), 10 Romanian Dead Lifts (Kodiak Count). Things were going well at this point so PAX hopped back over the fence to the Start/Finish pole on the track for the main course.
PAX would be doing a Modified Murph around the track stopping at each of the 6 poles for a round of exercises. 100 Burpees (17 each pole), 200 Merkins (34 each pole), 300 Squats (50 each pole). After the 20 minute brutal first Burpee lap it was clear time would be called before the last 2 laps would be completed. YHC doubled back to get the PAX to partner up and split the reps at each pole to make some progress and hopefully finish out. Most PAX got through 2 laps and onto the 3rd lap but time was called to head back to the flag.
