YHC led the PAX down to the lower cul-de-sac for a mission reminder and a plank hold while reciting the 5 Core Principles—because if you can’t stay still under pressure, how will you handle movement?

Warmup (All in Cadence or OYO):
• SSH
• Weed Pickers
• Sun Gods
• Michael Phelps

Mozied up to grab the coupons—because it wouldn’t be a proper suckfest without a little weight to carry.

The Thang

“Burson 325” – No Excuses Hero WOD

3 Rounds for Strength & Sacrifice:
• 25 Coupon Ground-to-Overhead → His age (25), symbolizing the weight he carried
• 25 Coupon Thrusters → Because this won’t be easy, just like his job wasn’t
• 25 Coupon Rows → Pulling each other up, just like he lifted his community

2 Rounds for Heart & Hustle:
• 16 Burpee Over Coupons → The day (16th) of his End of Watch, representing the fight
• 21 Coupon Swings → The year (2021) he gave his all

Final Push: One Last Mile
• 0.325 Mile Weighted Lap → His badge number (325) lives on with every step.

The Finish

A few PAX finished the full grind and did 6 inches till time. Then, because we leave no man behind, the crew ran back to grab the six and push everyone to the end.

Circle of Trust (COT):
We gathered, sweaty, gassed, and humbled, to honor Officer Joe Burson, his family, and his sacrifice. We push through the pain because he can’t.

Honoring Officer Joe Burson

Officer Burson of the Holly Springs Police Department (GA) was killed in the line of duty on June 16, 2021, at just 25 years old. He was known for his calm demeanor, work ethic, and strong moral compass. A man of service, sacrifice, and integrity, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.

His Chief called him “the best officer we had”—today, we pushed ourselves to be better men in his honor.

Final Thoughts

Men, this wasn’t just a workout. This was a test of grit, heart, and brotherhood. If you got through it, you honored a fallen warrior. If you struggled, you got better. Either way, we don’t quit.

Burpees were done. Coupons were carried. Respect was earned.

Until next time,

SYITG,
Copper
