WARMUP: There was no warm up to speak of because Crack didn’t believe 45 minutes of a beatdown was enough time to waste on something as insignificant as some stretching or warming up. From my first day at F3 he set the tone with his strong beatdown and even more so with his penchant for writing a wildly amusing backblast that @lawdog still tries to emulate today and always comes up short, on the rare occasion he actually shows up or even more rarely ever Qs. So, in honor of that initiation into F3 so many years ago, only made possible by @C4 EH, and with @Crack leading the men through the 2nd week of beatdowns in the newly launched Cherokee area, I paid homage to that day by leading the men today through the same workout, with a few new faces, some that were there that day, and sadly without many others that were there or that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in F3 along the way that don’t come around much anymore.

THE THANG: 4 corners of the parking lot with escalating goofballs, j-los (or is it j-loes?), E2ks, and imperial squawkers.

Next, mosey to the “track” to do see ya when I see ya. Partner up and run opposite directions around the track. When you meet up with your partner perform 20 partner claps, Kodiak count, even though that wasn’t yet a thing back then. Do this for 2 laps and rinse and repeat with 10 merkins instead. Slight modification from original partner derkins, because we don’t do as much touchy feely stuff as we used to, iykyk (partner bearcrawls were the worst!).

After that we lined up across the “football field” from our partners and bear crawled toward each other. When we met them 20 squats. Continued the rest of the way across the field and then gathered in the middle for a group plank.

Moseyed back to the parking lot for partner suicide BLIMPS. 10 burpees, 20 lunges, 30 imperial walkers, 40 merkins, 50 plank jacks and 60 squats while partner runs down and back to the increasing posts each round, switching places to reach the cumulative totals. Worked our way back down just in time to finish up and get back to the flag.

Prayer of celebration, not about me and my 8 year anniversary, but for being blessed enough that this thing was brought to Cherokee county by a few HIMs and the impact it has had on my life and so many others at a time where I don’t know what I would have done without it. And for all those that put in the work to keep it going. Volunteering their time, commitment, expertise, for the benefit of everyone around them. It takes work and commitment from all of us to keep this going for the benefit of all of us coming out and for those that have yet to come out, but keep fighting the good fight. I’m sincerely thankful for all those that did, contine to do and those that will keep doing!
