We started off with a Warm-O-Rama, which consisted of Side Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, Weed Pickers, Squats, and Merkins (21 each). Then we moseyed over to the far end of Dupree Park by the shed. We each grabbed a cinder block (compliments of Doddy). We jumped into a sequence of exercises in 21 counts of the following; merkins, flutter kicks, squats and big boy sit ups. We lunged 50 feet and bear crawled to the pull up bars. Each man banged out three and jumped down into plank until the PAX was complete. We then ran the track one lap. Rinse and repeat three times around the track. We overhead pressed our cinder blocks – two rounds of 10. Then we put the blocks back behind the shed. We closed out the circuit with a COVID-19 wisdom or prayer request marry. Each member put forward a word of wisdom that they had learned/leaned into in the last 9-10 weeks or offered up a prayer request. We cycled through several exercises and recovered. We then moseyed to a make-shift football field (cones compliments of the Sequoyah Youth Track Club). We played a terribly lopsided game of ultimate football – Hard Hittin’, Office Party, Saluki and Dig ‘Em went to work! Scored 6 straight touchdowns! But Grylls, Honky Tonk, Bagger, Nesquik, Jackalope, and Squirtel scored last, so they won. We closed out with more wisdom and prayer request exercises – regular merkins, hand slap merkins, wave merkins and finally Grylls punished us with some slow and low JLos. The men all got a little stronger and the shared wisdom was well received by all.
