Warmorama…

-Moseyed over to the Aquatic Center so we still can see any stragglers that might come in

-Ensured PAX knew 5 core principles of F3 and burpees for all PAX if there were any misses

-Did the usual:  SSH, weedpickers, tumbleweeds, Michael Phelps, sun gods

-Moseyed to bottom of hill at aquatic center parking lot

 

Extended Warmorama…

(needed to get the legs a little warmer)

-Hill sprint to top of hill, 10 star jumps at the top, jog back

-Hill sprint to top of hill, 10 star jumps at the top, buttkickers back

-Hill sprint to top of hill, 10 star jumps at the top, high knees back

-Hill sprint to top of hill, 10 star jumps at the top, karaoke (left) back

-Hill sprint to top of hill, 10 star jumps at the top, Karaoke (right) back

-Hill sprint to top of hill, 10 star jumps at the top, mosey to the amphitheater and up the first flight of stairs

 

The Thang…

-Prep for the Chad 1000x

On each level of the amphitheather, there is a ledge that can be used for seating or a divider between each level.  PAX were to do 100 step ups (right leg up, left leg up, right leg down, left leg down = 1 rep) on the ledge.  Upon completion, do 8 burpees and 18 LBC’s because….today was 8/18.  Pick up the 6 when done.

-Rinse and repeat for the next ledge

-Mosey to top of amphitheater stairs and line up on parking lot spaces.  Bear crawl to next parking space line and do 1 Carolina dry dock.  Bear crawl to next line and do 2 Carolina dry docks.  Rinse and Repeat up to 12 parking space lines

-Mosey back down to another ledge and do another set of 100 step ups, 8 burpees, 18 LBC’s.

-Collect the 6, mosey down to the roundabout at the aquatic center.

-Do ring of fire for merkins (merkins for each person, hold high plank when not doing merkins)

-Close with 1.5 minutes of Mary

***Also, we had a merlot!  Leg work and shoulder work are good for a body and soul!

 

Naked Man Moleskin…

YHC’s just felt so helpless watching the scene unfold in Afghanistan and hearing the stories already coming in about persecution of the Afghan Christians (which had actually had the 2nd fastest rate of people converted to Christianity over the past few years).  YHC also has read too many statements on social media from soldiers who served there previously wondering about the what, the why, etc.  Therefore YHC wanted to do a workout that honored them while also giving the PAX some time to think about the situation and offer up some prayers if desired.  Doing 100 setups in a set for multiple sets gives some time for the mind to dwell on this.

The 6th man was Gracie (could not find him in the dropdown above.  Is he on slack?).  YHC felt safe and secure from any ill-willed folk with 2 blackbelts (Gracie and Wax-on) in attendance today.  Prayers include the situation in Afghanistan, patience for the PAX, and some praises for answered prayers.

YHC has never Q’d the Clinic, but it still felt like home since YHC has Q’d WoodstockRucks at this location many times.  The Clinic PAX work hard and are a tightknit crew that make everyone feel welcome.  YHC looks forward to visiting again soon!
