Copper Q 7/6/21
The birthday surprise!
In honor of Copper’s 39th birthday yesterday, we had a variety of surprises and party games featuring 39 in reps of 39 or 3 sets of 13.
F3 Welcome and disclaimer
We mosey to top cul-de-sac where we got our first of many birthday surprises. This one started with a warmup of sun gods, 13 side straddle hops, 13 weed pickers and 13 copperhead squats.
Then we moseyed to next cul-de-sac. Our birthday surprise there was 13 double count flutter kicks, 13 double count American hammers and everyone’s favorite 13 double count money humpers.
Next we moseyed to the bottom cul-de-sac. This birthday gift consisted of 13 double count LBCs, 13 double count merkins and 13 alternating side squats.
After the surprises we had to head to the party. In leu of a party bus, we decided to Indian run to the top stop sign and then high knees run back to the parking lot. Because we wanted everyone to arrive to the party together, we planked for the 6.
The party kicked off with teaming up in twos and doing the bear brawl across the short end of the parking lot. We switched positions at the end and each man crawled twice.
For the party games, each team shared a coupons and did Doras. The 1st man did 130 bent over rows, 130 curls and 130 presses. The 2nd man sprinted to the other end of parking lot and did 13 burpees, the next time down 13 merkins and all the rest of the times down 13 LBCs. Each man got a chance to do all exercises trading out with his partner. Because we are good sports, when the first teams were done, they spun the dice of fun and performed the party games prescribed until the 6 teams came in.
For party favors, everyone got to go home with a few favorite workouts of their choosing.
We ended with a circle of toast where no toast was served but trust was evident. Lamb Chop was 6 man and introduced himself to the Slab guys. The only announcement was a reminder about the 2.0 workout at Hobgood on July 17th at 7:00am. Boys and girls are welcome for this one. Prayers going up for Lamb Chop’s SIL that she heals quickly and gets a heart donor soon, Cherokee safe travels back to Florida and Eggplant’s M to continue to recover from her 40 mile race on Sunday. Praise to God that she was able to complete that race and accomplish that goal!
