Welcome back, Slow Burn, to F3! It’s been a minute.
Roundabout’s format rotates. On the first Tuesday, it’s a Murph; second, ruck; third, regular beatdown; fourth, sport-themed, and fifth Q’s choice. Seeing how it was the second Tuesday, the Hustler made it “Q’s Choice,” because his name was on the Q sheet and his choice was Murph because he likes Murphs and it’s his Q, so there.
We started with a half-mile mosey to Knox School area, and did our warmups. Then we ran back to complete the first full mile to start our Murph. With the warmups, I was not able to get the full Murph done but ended with 70 pull-ups, 140 merks and 210 squats and then did my second mile and was back to the flag at 6:18 am. I am not sure if anyone completed the full Murph (run a mile, do 100 pullups, 200 merks and 300 squats, and run another mile all with a 20-pound weight vest if possible). Perhaps The Count, because he passed me as I was doing my second mile.
We prayed it out for our families, for the men who have not been able to make it to F3 for whatever reasons and a prayer gratitude that we can make it out.
We enjoyed having Slow Burn out there in the 31-degree gloom, and hope we sufficiently encouraged him to come out regularly.
We also each chose a PAX whom we haven’t seen out lately to call and encourage to show up. I have Tool Time, P-Body has Walk Off, Slow Burn has Hottie, The Count has… I forget, and Small World has the infamous Mansplain.
Great crew. Great workout. Great coffee. Amen
