Intro- Q explained the tragedy of the explosion of Gun Turret #2 on the Battleship USS Iowa. 04/19/89 – 47 sailors lost their lives. Q’s high school friend, Brian Jones was one of the victims. We honored those sailors with a BD including reps and numbers representing aspects of the event.

We added a Pax at the AO and went for a Mozey around the tennis court. Warmo rama with windmills, weed pickers and imperial walkers then some arm circles and Michael Phelps.

BD- met at playground and started with 4 pull ups- 19 merkins- 89 squats- to record the date of the event. 2 burpees for gun #2.
Run 400 yds- 2 tennis courts- because Q’s friend Brian Jones ran the 400 on the HS track team.

Q was hoping for 2 full circuits of the board, but most made 1.5 circuits before time elapsed. The count powered through 2 full circuits and honored the fallen. Repeating the dates, and facts will help the Pax remember the event and spark some research and discussions about the Tragedy.
