YHC got a text from Super Dave yesterday evening that his knees were in pretty bad shape after a weekend of fun at the School of Ruck, Running 5ks and kayaking, so he might need to rest those knees. YHC was glad to help a true HIM out and lead a Q at the best Monday AO north of the Hwy 20!
YHC arrived a little early to do some recon and found Bonilla stretching, and Yogi and Misty getting in their 6 miles before the beatdown! At 5:30am, we started our mosey and picked up Duggar as he came in on two wheels, finished our mosey around the Armed Forces Memorial, circled up and did the following:
Good Mornings – 10 IC
Imperial Walker – 11 IC
Weed Pickers – 10 IC
Michael Phelps – OYO
We then moseyed to the rock pit and each PAX carefully chose a rock. Careful was the key, as we would spend a lot of time with our new friend for the remainder of the beat down. We moseyed to the loop behind the playground where we would do 7’s (Like 11’s, but 7’s). 6 Curls with the rock, carrying the rock across the field, and doing 1 BBS, with the rock. The PAX would not put the rock down. Back for 5 Curls/2 BBS, etc..
Next, we moseyed over to the short parking lot near the Homeless Veterans Memorial and did 7 ‘s gain, but this time with Ginuwines and Alternating Hand Merkins. Same idea as before, the rock stayed with us the entire time.
Finally, with time running low, we moseyed to the Armed Forces Memorial and finished with Skull Crushers/Lunges. After each exercise, run the loop, w/out the block this time. We finished up, deposited our rocks back to their home and sprinted to the shovel flag, with Misty smoking everyone! Bonilla killed it as well, sprinting past the flag!
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
We discussed Misty’s CSAUP this weekend and the upcoming Spartans. We also asked for prayers for Wham-O, as he comes back from major knee surgery in November, Super Dave, and for our leaders, teachers and community as school starts its 2nd weekend in Cherokee.
Great time this morning and thought I would try to mix it up by carrying the rocks the entire time. It definitely became awkward/painful carrying those the entire time. It was great to have Wham-O back out and for his first post in since surgery. Bonilla has been a constant in recent weeks at the Saturday Hurt Locker, but made his 1st post at the Monday version. Great to have you out! Misty and Yogi continue to be a couple of Beast that hopefully one day I can join up in the front and run half marathons for “fun”! Dugger continues to inspire, even though I am sure he does not want to hear it. Whenever I think about fartsacking the night before, I just remind myself that Duggar was in the hospital for 3 days and the day after he was released, he posted! Think about that! Carmen San Diego was out as well, so it was good to see him, even as he becomes F3 Nation royalty! I hope that he does’t start looking down on us peasants! He is a true HIM, gives up a lot of his free time to be the Nation’s IT guy, and is always someone YHC seeks out at beatdowns! Finally, Super Dave…rest those damn knees! Rest Stop Out!
