Today was a great day for a beatdown, it was cooler out and there was a little less humidity in the air. YHC pulled in at 5:23 to the normal unnamed vehicle in the parking lot (not F3 related) and saw another F3 brother but couldn’t make out who it was, quickly found out it was Coco.
Things were looking rather rough for this beatdown up until seconds before Startex. We were joined by four other PAX and our FNG.
We started off with a longer mosey on the street to the cul-de-sac behind the playground. Being a little gun-shy over my previous fumbles on cadence the WOR was short and sweet: SSH, Weed Pickers, Sun Gods, and Michael Phelps.
We then moseyed to the tennis court for The Thang.
Every Time You Stop
PAX to complete 200 merkins, every time you stop you complete the following:
run from one end of the tennis courts to the other and back.
25 LBC
20 SSH
15 Plank Jacks
Then back to chipping away at the 200 merkins.
Leeroy Jenkins was added as a twist. Whenever someone called out Leeroy Jenkins the PAX would:
Complete 1 Agassi (suicide run on the tennis court) then head over to the board and the LBC (little baby cards) Uno cards for a penalty movement. One PAX would draw a card, then the PAX complete the movement for a rep count of the face number of the card turned over. Each color was assigned a different movement.
Red Card – 2-count Shoulder Taps
Blue Card – 2-count Lunges
Yellow Card – Foxhole
Green Card- Burpees
Wild Card – 10 reps of the next card
+1 Card – 10 of color + draw another
+2 Card – 2x the next card
Reverse Card – Another Agassi then back to workout
Skip Card – Back to the workout
Once the PAX completed the movement of the card drawn we then returned to attack the 200 merkins.
The little baby Uno cards were a hit to say! Everyone could not stop talking about them. My normal deck of playing cards have gone MIA (more than likely I set them down somewhere and M got tired of looking at them or the 2.0s made them disappear).
Without Eggplant today, Spider quickly took on his role and not just the mumblechatter. Quick FYI – Spider doesn’t like Purple Rain!
Once we completed the workout, YHC brought something fun for the PAX. We enjoyed a short game of speedball (a good old pastime from the Catbox). Speedball is like ultimate frisbee but with a football. You have a kickoff/throw to start. The PAX holding the ball cannot run. If the ball is missed it goes to the other team. Losers walk!
We ended for COT.
Coco was 6th man
We welcomed our FNG – McSteamy to the Slab.
Prayers for Boondock & M on M’s surgery; Shawshank’s continued recovery, Lars & Family on pregnancy
