Welcome to The Vineyard Amped, where we strive to get at least 3 miles mixed into our workouts.
We moseyed up to the main road and took a right and ran to the Baseball fields, where I had stashed some weights for us to mix into our workouts. There were a number of options to choose from, dumbbells of various weights from 10 lbs to 35 lbs, 25 lb plates and some 10 lb plates. There were also popsicle sticks with exercises on them in three categories: Legs, Abs and Upper Body (which included workouts for the arms, chest, shoulders and back).
We did a brief warm up and then got to it. Pick an exercise for an area of your choosing – Legs, Abs and UB (Upper Body) and do 50 reps of that exercise. Then run around the back island at the baseball field and go out to the main road, turn right toward the practice football field and turn right there. Run around the circle at the end and then head back for more exercises. Rinse and repeat until time was done.
Most of got at least 3.5 miles on this run. It was an awesome time.
