YHC has only been at the V 4-5 times. In that short career, however, I have repeatedly heard the lament that there are no new routes to be run. For, alas, all roads have been taken and all stones overturned.

Today, however, we attempted something different. Our route utilized a “secret” cut thru between JJ Biello and the Woodstock Knoll neighborhood. That allowed all present to get in 4-5.5 miles in a new and spicy way. Gambler commented that the 100 yards of off-road running were plenty enough for him. YHC pre-lit the way with glowsticks from Amazon.com.

Of note, YHC, Gambler and Sega discussed the lengths to which deer will fight with their hooves if threatened and the sanity of having a bow hunt at Rope Mill Park for “youth” hunters. We arrived at no answers; only more questions. Also, Neon seems to hate all Garmin products.

All returned safely for a COT including 6th man Nesquick’s insistence that scuba diving isn’t dumb and prayers for his work/life balance. Congrats to him and Gambler for getting kids graduated from H.S. The non-coffee coffeeteria was brief but joyful. Thanks to all who came out and put in the work.
