What is a “Happy Jack Classic” you ask? The Exicon defines a Happy Jack as :

Do 5 side straddle hops in cadence then after the 5th one everyone does two jump squats. Like this… Side Straddle Hops IC: One, two, three, ONE! One, two, three, TWO! One, two, three, THREE! One, two, three, FOUR! One, two, three, FIVE! Quickly followed by two jump squats. Repeat 4x or until no one can breathe.

C4 finds the Happy Jack to be a great warm up to get the blood pumping and started The Happy Jack as an intense beatdown with a 5k guarantee. So a Happy Jack Classic is a LawDog original 5k guarantee beatdown that is well planned and organized through the entire 45 minutes and went something like this:

Run to the 50 yard line to watch the Pax kick for three. Happy Jacks of course.

Run to the track to the bottom of Easy Mountain. Run to the top for 20 merkins, to the bottom for 20 big boys and back to the top for 20 squats.

Run to the next quarter mile marker, well where it use to be before the park took it out for the buzz. 10 merkins, 10 big boys and 10 squats run quarter mile all you got to the start of the track loop by the pickle center.

10 derkins on the fence run across the parking lot for 10 derkins on the fence run across the parking lot for 10 derkins on the third rail because we work hard run to the other side for 10 derkins on the third rail.

Run to the the top of the other Easy mountain. Run to the bottom for 5 burpees back to the top for 5 burpees x 2 laps.

Run to the next quarter mile mark for 10 merkins, 10 big boys, 10 squats then all you got for quarter mile.

Run to the end zone. Sprint from goal line to the back of the other end zone for 3 burpees because in life you need to give 110%. Jog back to the beginning goal line. Round two changed it up to hand release burpees because Hombre needed extra motivation. Total of 5 rounds.

Jog to the old FIA parking lot. 10 merkins, 10 big boys, 10 squats run a lap and repeat until time to get back to flag.

Solid 45 minutes.

All in all clocked 3.66 miles, 60 big boys, 60 squats, 60 merkins, 40 derkins, 35 burpees, and shut Manning up around the 110 % sprints for a snot woggle, so YHC will mark it a successful The Happy Jack.
