Its been a long while since YHC has Q’d the Hurt Locker, and knowing it would be tough to get out there on a Monday following daylight savings, it seemed like a good idea accountability wise to sign up! In the words of Gob from Arrested Development as soon as the alarm went off, I’ve made a huge mistake. But, pulling myself out of the fart sack was able to make it only to watch a couple of HIMs come round the bend after a 4:30 pre-run (thanks for the shaming Super Dave and Dixie Chick).

5:30 hits and the mosey kicks off! We wander on down to the parking lot outside the field for the Warm-o-Rama. We took the long way round trying to stretch our legs out a bit for what was to come. Circle up and SSH, Weed Pickers, Abe Vigodas, and Imperial Walkers were done with various rep counts.

Then we mosey on down to the field that is NOT occupied by frisbee players for the Thang. Starting at the pylon cam at the corner of the end zone, we zigged and zagged across the field to the opposite sideline at the 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100. At these corners we did 20 merkins, 40 LBCs, 60 Squats, 80 SSHs, and 100 Flutterkicks. Then we needed to get back to the other end of the field, so we did escalating Burpee broad jumps. Methinks some folks scooted up during the burpees (because YHC definitely did), and the PAX made it back. Then we zigged and zagged again, half the reps, but accumulating the exercises. So in total we got in 50 Merkins, 80 LBCs, 90 Squats, 80 SSHs, and 100 Flutters. After a Super-quick 10 count because of Super Dave, we moseyed on over to the big loop where we lined up for an Indian Run (I want to come up with a better name for this, don’t love the name. From here on out I’m calling it…Indiana Jones) up the backside mountain.

Having a little time left and wanting to get creative, the PAX finished out with a new concoction I like to call Animal Parade. This is basically an Indiana Jones (lets get it to stick) with a stationary exercise and a traveling animal to get from front to back (we went with Bear Crawls.) Because of the joy of this AOs setup, we did Abyss Merkins using the curbs. This gave a gap and the merkins can go much lower and therefore cause a ridiculous amount of resistance. While most of the PAX performed AMRAP Abyss Merkins, the PAX in the back bear crawled to the front. This was ROUGH, therefore will definitely be used again and again by YHC.

After a few rounds, back to the flag for Name-O-Rama. Prayers for Pella, and congrats to Mr. Bubbles and his M for their expected 3rd 2.0 on the way! (2.3, I forget how we do that.)

YHC was breathing too heavily to notice any mumble chatter, though I’m sure some was done. Imma go nap now.
