YHC was excited to get back out in the gloom at the best AO at Macedonia Elementary and based on the forecast Wednesday night, no rain! YHC usually does not sleep well the night before a Q so go up early and headed out the house at 5am. Its freaking raining!!! Luckily, it stopped by the time I was out of the hood.
We started our mosey around the parking lot, did one lap, and picked up Duggar. We circled up, and did the following:
Imperial Walker – 10 IC
Good Mornings – 10 IC
Windmills – 10 IC
Michael Phelps – OYO
We circled up and YHC explained The 10 in 10. I saw this in a backblast from Westside and he borrowed this routine from Geek Squad. The PAX have a minute to do 10 Burpees. If you finish early, you get to rest until he minute is over. Once the minute is over, rinse and repeat. The plan was to do 10 rounds. YHC modified this to 5 minutes! A great way to get the heart pumping! 50 Burpees.
Now to the Balls! Next, we moseyed to the top of the stairs to the lower parking. YHC brought along a bucket of ping-pong poles, each with a number 1 to 6. Each number coincided with the following exercise:
- Shoulder Taps (Kodiak Count)
- Monkey Humpers
YHC removed the Burpees from the list, since the PAX just knocked out 50. The exercise you do is completely random and based on luck of the draw. Each PAX would pull a ball and do 25 reps of the exercise. After the reps were completed, run down the stairs and run the long loop, back up the stairs and pick a ball. Do 25 of the exercise, run down the stairs and run the short loop. We alternated the long and shoot loop after each exercise. These were done OYO. Babyface and Quagmire probably got in some good miles and they lapped YHC a few times! With time running low, we moseyed back to the flag and Quagmire led the PAX with LBCs up to 6:15am
We discussed Man Camp 2020 this weekend and the BrewRuck in a couple weeks. Check out Slack for more info. We asked for prayers for the Coronavirus and keeping everyone healthy.
Naked Man Moleskin:
Great time this morning and enjoyed getting to lead a great group of guys with no rain! The 5 mins of Burpees really got the blood flowing. Maybe next time we’ll go to 10 minutes. Good one Geek Squad! Thanks Quagmire for pushing me. Great job everyone this morning! Until next time, SYITG! Rest Stop out!
