The morning began with a boom! That was thunder! Then there was a flash of light. The rain came down pretty hard. I was not excited about going out in the rain, but very thankful it was in the mid 60’s as far as temperature goes.
We met at the front of the high school and I adapted my workout to let us have shelter for coffeteria.
We ran the loop in the front of the school and then did warm ups. The usual: Side Straddle Hops, Weed Pickers, Hillbillies and Flamingos (some of us used the walls/columns to stabilize.
Then we did the following four exercises:
- Deadly Calf Raises
- Dying Cockroach
I was kind of making things up on the fly, so I changed things up. Exercise 1 was always 10 reps. Exercise 2 was 20, 3 was 30 and 4 was 40. After doing 40 dips, I decided it was best to allow the men to mix things up. I am not sure if everyone did and if they changed up the rep count, but that’s what I did.
After set 1, we ran 1 lap in the rain. After set 2, we ran 2 laps in the ran and so on. I think most of us maxed out at 4 laps.
We ended in a COT, praying for LK’s father-in-law and his recover, for Nick’s recover from open heart surgery and for the job search for LK and FT. We also prayed for wisdom for GoDaddy. He really needs it! 🙂
