This was the first beatdown in the evolution of The Happy Jack, as previously mentioned.  The Happy Jack will always remain high intensity, but we are moving beyond the 5K guarantee which was beginning to paint us into a corner in terms of what the PAX might accomplish during any given gloom morning.  You can only do Easy Mountain so many times.

Enter the GoRuck or equivalent Sandbags, or also referred to as the Sandparents to the original F3 Cherokee coupons, the sandbabies, 50 to 70 lbs in variety.

The Thang

Lap around the LAX Fields, circle up for some standard warm-up (good mornings, weed pickers, windmills, copperhead squats), grab your sandbag, and head back to the LAX fields for some pain.

YHC and this QIC refers to this one as a 30 for 30, given the 30 total reps (well really 40 including the midfield return tax, see below) that are featured.

Man Makers with your Sandbag – 10
Shoulder carry hustle your bag across Field 1
V-ups with your sandbag — 10 — each time you cross Field 1 onto Field 2
Shoulder carry your bag across Field 2
Catalina Wine Mixers — 10
Return to beginning, but when crossing from Field 2 to Field 1, conduct the 10 V-ups again.

The reps went 10-8-6-4-2 on the Man Makers, and 10-12-14-16-18 on the Wine Mixers, which at high count prove to be brutal, always totaling 20, and plus the 10 V-ups, hence the 30 for 30.

With 10 minutes remaining, we knocked out two rounds of 10 sandbag cleans/10 sandbag squats, following by a fence climb crossing and back.

All said, we still hammered 2 miles to boot.

COT

Prayers for our community and for our nation as it passes through these difficult and emotional times.
