Performing the IPC week 1 workout may result in some of us feeling a bit like “Grumpy Bear” later, as I believe we were all pushed and pulled in ways that we’re not accustomed to. Proud of everybody for pushing themselves hard for 45 solid minutes.
We started with a mosey to what used to be the tennis courts near the wrestling building. Did a few warm-up exercises, explained the workout, and then set the timer.
A cone was placed at each corner of a square, with sides measuring 25 yards in length.
A “set” (100 total reps) consisted of the following:
- Regular bear crawl from 1st cone to 2nd cone, then perform 25 squats
- Left side bear crawl from 2nd cone to 3rd cone, then perform 25 merkins
- Reverse bear crawl (crawlbear) from 3rd cone to 4th cone, then perform 25 big boy sit ups
- Right side bear crawl from 4th cone to 1st cone, then perform 25
Goal was to do AMRAP until the 45 minutes was up.
Walked back to flag and did COT.
