Yours truly arrived at the parking lot to find only one other lonely car waiting (Barbossa) in the pouring rain. Just as things were about to start, Clickbait pulled in, and Wax-on arrived in a fashionably late manner to catch the end of a shoulder destroying beatdown.
Warm-up: Mosey up the amphitheater. With only 3 PAX starting, we took advantage of the small gazebo to warm up and stretch out:
30(?) SSH’s, windmills, slow weed pickers, and then mosey back down to the stage.
Beatdown: The rain and tiny crew required adjustment from the original plans. Still, today’s BD exhausted shoulders and core:
Circle Burp (2x since for our trio)
- 10 monkey humpers (4ct)
- bear crawl across stage
- 10 Carolina dry docks
- crawl bear (reverse bear crawl) back
- 10 Mike Tysons
- 10 American hammers (4ct)
- 10 pickle pointers
- Lunge across stage
- 10 pickle pounders
- 10 J-Lo’s
- Lunge back across stage
We ended with 2 minutes of Flutter Kicks and Alabama Prom Date. (Fitting, for our thrusting last half)
It sure was difficult to crawl out of bed to go work in the rain AND 30mins early for 3rd F. Nevertheless, once up and moving it was no big deal, just a little wet. Sometimes the hardest part of a challenge is taking the first step to throw off the covers and get started.
Literally no 6th man at the CoT, so we all shared a bit about ourselves. Glad to grind it out and share a soggy and closer morning with this crew.
