WARMUP: Up and At ‘Em followed by Instant Breakfast…
THE THANG:  Mess around fishing and exploring. LC was the only PAX to catch a fish. And what a beautiful specimen it was. A 12” brown trout that made for an amazing lunch (see picture below)! After the round of mornings shenanigans, we packed up and began the second leg of our trek. Now BH claims the map showed a distance of around 5 miles… Pella’s AppleWatch gifted an extra 3. Forza battled leg pain and cramps in his back. LC did his thing and Flower led the way. After a grueling 20 minutes we found an amazing stretch of the river. More shenanigans ensued. Forza got wet, Pella had tackle issues and LC and BH enjoyed every second of it. After about hour, we wrapped up the shenanigans and kept on trekking. We had a few steep climbs, but nothing horrible. The first camp site wasn’t overly picturesque. The next one was taken. The 3rd was too close to the trail so BH and Pella set out to find the 4th. After a little walking, and Pella losing half his fishing rods on the trail, they found a perfect camp site on an island right next to the river. We made camp, did some fishing and had dinner. After enjoying a hearty dinner the foursome called it a night.
