First, there was a reason behind Wham-O Wednesdays. YHC noticed a couple of things. First, Wednesdays at Crossroads have a smaller crowd, and sometimes finding a Q was a last minute task, so wanted to take the burden off of Lively for that. Second, YHC was having a hard time getting back into the rhythm of posting regularly. Mondays usually happen to start off strong, and finishing the week strong happens, but there is something about Wednesdays that are tough for YHC. So, Wham-O Wednesdays. Q every Wednesday so YHC has to post, and let it go from there.
Warm-o-Rama: Mosey around the parking lot to the bus parking and circle up for 30 SSHs, 10 Weed Pickers, 10 Windmills, 10 Good Mornings, 10 Dancing Bears and then finish off with sun gods and Michael Phelps.
The Thang: Mosey over to the long hill for a Sandbag Conveyor Belt. YHC had left a bag there, and the PAX split into four groups of 2. Each group would AMRAP merkins, Big Bois, and Squats going up the hill until the sandbag got to them, and then would throw the bag up to the next group. This took some getting used to, but we caught a rhythm, until the zipper on the bag broke. So…modify! (Though I think all four groups were able to get in one round of exercises.)
Indiana Jones over to the front of the school with the bag. Partners would sprint the bag to the front and drop it off. It would be picked up by the last pairing and run it to the front.
Then, at the front of the school, a quick modified spartan. Run down the hill around the rip-rap in the front of the school, bear crawl back up, sprint the parking lot and knock out 10 incline merkins. Recovery walk/mosey to the start and repeat. Most PAX got in five rounds of this.
Back to the flag for flutter kicks and crunchy frogs to finish it out after a game of “Don’t let the two PAX carrying the sandbag beat you to the flag”
Prayers lifted. 3rd F breakfast this Friday at Veterans with a beatdown ahead of time, but Crossroads is a bunch of heathens, so Misty has the Q same place and time on Friday! Good to have Oracle travel North to meet us, and great to have Doubtfire back out after a bit of a hiatus.
