10/19/21 The Buff – Getting to Second Base
It was a beautiful morning in the Gloom, and a brisk 43 degrees. PAX ranged from @SlumLord in shorts and a dry-fit t-shirt to @PaperJam in long sweatpants and 3 layers on top. It wasn’t long before we were all soaking wet though.
We began with a quick round of Side Straddle Hops, Weed Pickers, and Imperial Walkers in some form of cadence that @Woody quickly corrected . One of these days I’ll get used to only counting to 3 and letter the rest handle the rest. 🙂 A quick mosey then took us down to the ball field behind the school. As usual my plans needed modification prior to actually working. Again, @Woody had to step in and modify the plans in order to more effectively accommodate the number of PAX present.
This morning we all rounded Second Base (home plate to 2nd and back)……. 11 times, each either carrying our own log or partnering up with a fellow PAX to transport an even heavier load. When not carrying something, the rest of the PAX worked through 10 different kettlebell exercises, no quantities dictated, focusing on proper form. (Pull throughs, Man Makers, Skull Crushers, Goblet Squats, Halo Lunges, Kettlebell Swings, Figure 8s, Double Arm Curls, Dead Lifts and Kettlebell Thrusters).
Need prayers for a @Woody’s friend and their family over the passing of a father. Prayers requested for guidance and direction for @Paper Jam’s journey with prostate cancer.
