After that stomping that the Dawgs took on Saturday, figured it would be good to go back to training camp and go back to the basics.
Warmarama: Cotton mills, good mornings, sun gods and michael phelps
1st and 10s – Run to the 10 and perform 10 merkins and 1 burpee followed by a 90 yd sprint to the goal line. Slow mosey back to the 20 and perform 9 merkins and 2 burpees followed by an 80 yd sprint to the goal line. So on and so forth. I’m smoked, audible away from running it back.
Drill instructors – Circled up at mid-field while YHC called out varying commands of “on your six”, “on your feet”, “on your face”, and combinations of up/down in those positions. Felt like what imagine football camp would be like if I had ever attended.
Big Bang – Took turns calling out exercises at which point we would all run straight out from the middle until we hit the boundary, perform a set number of reps and then return to the middle. Plank for the 6 and then rotate and call out the next exercise. Everybody went 2x and we finished it off with a bear crawl back to our original positions.
Ascending Testicles – On the mosey back to the flag made a pitstop at the snack shack and attempted the ascending testicles. The slick wall and smoked shoulders made that one tough, but all the PAX get an A for effort.
Arrived at the flag with a few minutes to spare so called out Mary to time expired.
Great meeting Posh who’s moving to the area from FL in the new year. Prayers for a smooth transition for him.
