Track and Field Day at Roundabout

It’s the fourth Tuesday of the month, so it must be SPORTY TUESDAY AT ROUNDABOUT!

Welcome, kids, to Track and Field Day!

It was a truly pleasant and balmy 26 degrees. The key was, there was no wind whatsoever. At least one of us took off our shirt.

P-body, the Count and I warmed up, mosied, and then went to the field for 1 burpee, then sprinted to the 25-yard cone for 25 merkins, then to the 50 for 50 LBCs and then to 75 yards for 75 squats. We ran a half mile, stopping at each bench along the way to do 10 dips, each fire hydrant to do a burpee and each intersection to do Rocky Balboas, then back along the same route to the park, where we took the long way around and rinsed and repeated. Very track-and-field-ish.

P-body had to take off for swim practice, so The Count and I continued with the field work and then mozied to the tennis courts for a quick non-ascending four corners, with 1 4x4s, 5 outlaws, 10 Freddie Mercs and 15 SSHs.

“To the flag,” I yelled to The Count who was right next to me.

We circled up, I mean, lined up, and I was 6th man, and told about Christmas and how it was awesome, and how I grew closer to my family. We prayed for those who had a difficult Christmas this year and vowed to have gratitude for each day.

We guzzled some coffee and charged off into the dawn.
