It was a beautiful morning for Wednesday Crossroads. YHC was excited to listen to the new Goodie Mob album, and Crossroads is the right place to do that. The new album is the best one to come out of Quarantine (Apologies to both Spillage Village and Taylor Swift, but its true) It features all of the members of the rest of the Dungeon Family, and every song slaps.
5:30 hits and we mosey on around the back of the school to the bus lanes where we triangle up and go through Imperial Walkers, Weed Pickers, SSH, Sungods, and Michael Phelps.
Then on to the Thang. This was a twist of a previous beatdown YHC Qd way back when my knee wasn’t broken. There are 27 bus lanes at Avery, and we used all of them. While sounding complicated at first, it ended up just being hard. Start at the yellow stripe. When you ascend, you go to the last lane moving down one alternating between Big Bois and Stargazer Squats. On your way down, you stop at the yellow lane and knock out three burpees. This levels up the first 9 bus lanes where you alternate between Merkins and Star Jumps, except the number of reps is multiplied by three. (Bus lane 1 was 3 merkins, 2 was 6 Star Jumps, etc). When you finally finish the last set of burpees on your way back, you just do the bus lane reps.
All in that made for 54 burpees. 147 Big Bois. 99 Merkins (but my B ain’t one). 140 Stargazers Squats. 82 Starjumps
Mosey back to the flag for some Birddog Crunches, Supermans, and Crunchy Frogs.
Great workout and a great morning. Tclaps for Dr. Thunder setting the pace, even if Devil Dog tried to take him out early. Never leave the herd.
