Covid 19 has created a Matrix of isolation and despair. Life offers every man an opportunity to take the Red Pill or Blue Pill. In taking a “red pill” there is an unpleasant truth. The truth that life requires a daily commitment to improve oneself. In taking a “blue pill” there is to remain in blissful ignorance, that life just happens and there is nothing you can do. YHC does not always take the red pill and lately I have been prone to Fartsack. Then Covid 19 happened and F3Cherokee had to adapt. First, we encouraged smaller beatdowns with a shield lock. YHC quickly locked shields with Pax in my neighbor hood. I have worked out the last few weeks more consistently than the few weeks before the Covid 19 Matrix. Then Georgia went on a state wide shelter in place and F3Cherokee made the tough decision to go virtual. It is not something YHC wanted to do. I have no desire to post on a computer. However, YHC can ignore what must be done and take the blue pill going for the blessfull easy-false life of a Mascot over the hard-true life of the HIM. Or YHC can make a commitment to Accelerate my Fitness, Fellowship and Faith by takinge the red pill. Today I chose the Red Pill and it made all the difference. And in an ironic twist of fate, the Red Pill sent me into the Matrix.
Warm ups: Side Straddle Hops, Weedpickers, Imperial Walkers, Sun Gods and Michael Phelps. Quickly realized, in cadence is harder on Zoom, so switched to just OYO even for Michael Phelps.
The WOD day provided by the Mole was the inspiration. But to make it worse or better (depends on your perspective), YHC went with the theme of 11s and made it actual 11s. First routine was Daft Punk Lunges and merkins. start with 10 Daft Punk lunges and then 1 merkin doing the usual 11s until you hit 1 DPL and 1 merkin. Usually YHC, likes to run between two points for 11s, but because I was in my garage pax performed 11 Side Straddle hops in between DPL and merkins.
Rinse and Repeat 11s this time with mike tysons and big boy sit-ups while keeping 11 side straddle hops between the 2.
At this point, YHC remembered that the Mole had burpees and broad jumps somewhere in his WOD, so the pax perfomed 11 Burpee Broad Jumps. Perform 1 burpee and on the jump squat jump forward. Turn around and do another burpee jumping forward until 11 were complete.
For the final routine, YHC had a brilliantly terrible idea. Sticking with 11s, Pax performed leg raises and big boys. Instead of side straddle hops in the middle, Pax performed 11 flutter kicks. So start with 10 leg raises, 11 flutter kicks, 1 big boy, then 9 leg raises, 11 flutter kicks, 2 big boys and so on until done. This sucked.

Highball came in quite like, stayed dark screen for most of it, then video but no audio. While most guys would have retreated, not are man Highball, he stuck with the beatdown to the end. I like to think he was praising YHC for creatively leading a virtual beatdown that will go down in history as one of the best, but I like to think a lot of things that probably aren’t true.
Some dude named Brandon peeked in for a brief time and then disappeared. Maybe Cricket will post tomorrow and see what is up with that dude.
