Intro:

The ruck that destroyed everyone’s sacks…TWSS

Warm-o-Rama:

No warm-up. Just straight to the pain.

The Thang:

Goal was to complete Week 1 of the May GoRuck Challange. Walked up and down the amphitheater stairs for 6 minutes total. Proceeded to a stretch of road that YHC laid out cones every 50meters. Started off with 100M rack drag with all rucks placed onto a tarp and all PAX bearing the weight of dragging the rucks. This did not go well AT ALL (read slack for all the nitty gritty details). Once the 4th F was said a few times we continued with the challenge – 50 OHRP's (overhead ruck presses) – 100m bear crawl with the ruck on – 150m suitcase carry (switching hands halfway through). Recovered for a minute and then proceeded with the 3mile hike to Costco and back, aiming to do it in 45 minutes or less. I think total time was 51-52 minutes.

COT:

Overall prayers for the health and safety for all PAX and their families through the events of the day. Prayers for Hooch and his wife as they contemplate bringing another foster child into their lives and for God to give them the mental and physical strength to love this child to their fullest capacity.

Naked Man Moleskin:

YHC learned a big lesson today in physics and the permeability of tarps. Shoutout to everyone for working through the challenge, especially the bear crawl. Huge shoutout to Hank Hill who came in FULL firefighter gear – props my man.
