Intro:
War Towne has many options. YHC took PAX on a tour.
Warm-o-Rama:
YHC shared a BD plan weinkie w/ gazella PAX PieBar that called for a long mozy, however quick attention (and loss of breath) created audible detour into the finest sod in landscaped area at corner Bells Ferry & TLP in front of large sign for Warm-o-rama. It's a corner with many passing motorist so kill two birds with one stone. Circle up. Quick disclaimer with much mumblechatter for the out of breath Q to give FNG some guidance, then IC SSH, WeedPickers, Imperial Walkers, SunGods, Annie, and possibly some other things forgotten.
The Thang:
Mozy along outer trail between covered picnic tables headed down more wooded trails parallel to TLP and into baseball field parking lot. YHC had informed PAX to flutter kick on the 6 as it's known that Chops is likely THE slowest PAX in F3Cherokee. Looking down upon 19 men running through trails in predawn… gonna be a good tour! Arrive in lot to PAX doing flutter kicks. Circle up in lot (as baseball parents are arriving and being flat on the deck doing flutter kicks might get someone runover) for 21s. Missed stop by a few of the PAX so 10 merkins for punishment. Mozy on down through the Hobgood baseball fields, down the steps to Bascomb, and down the driveway to front side of Bascomb's hill. YHC had planned for 11s, but cut number to 7 reps as hill was tall and gotta keep moving for the tour. Original call was for Bear Crawl Up/Crawl Bear Down but upon first trip up discovery that grass is filled with sticker & thorns! Audible to Duck Walk Up & Lunge down for those who don't want to be stung. Exercises were MikeTysons at top, and Merkins at bottom. Upon conclusion PAX holds some plank on lower hill sidewalk waiting on the 6. Should to Shoulder 2 row mozy up the incline sidewalk, and around to the back straight away bus lane for next event. Line up on light pole for 200m sprint to far end of the driveway near white (no access) sign. PAX… ready, set, GO! and Gazella's were off with other PAX like YHC dragging ass behind. Upon arrival and much huffing and puffing… 10 count… Lunge 100 feet to small trail that cut up through woods to Hobgood's turf field. Before venturing thru trail, a few calf raises on curb. After 30 sec of calf raises, we are up the unbeaten path, thru many questionable 3 leaf plants (if the whole PAX gets Poison Ivy I'll live in infamy). Some PAX broke left, some went straight ahead, YHC yelled to left breakers to turn right. PAX emerges into back corner parking lot of turf field, and mozy continues to back edge of turf field. Upon the slow Q's arrival, a call for Burpees at a count of the 10's digit (10 – 1, 20 – 2, 30 -3, etc) across the field. Starting position move, exercise… and PAX is off. Some men (like Fleetwood) are born to Burpee… We continue on till all PAX make it across with some gazelles going back to pickup the 6. Many rubber turf pellets cover the PAX hands. Not time to wait around, and we are off down the path to the lower area of the old amphitheatre. Some PAX assumed more work on the turf field, and left articles on far end so remaining PAX did Mary dips on first step of amphitheatre waiting on those. Once we are all back together, Q calls for Karaoke zig zag back and forth across levels of the theatre heading to the top. Q recognizing that time is running short, and Karaoke is only fun for so long, hold the PAX at the 6th step. A bit more mary dips waiting on the 6. 10 OYO Step ups on the 7th row ledge. YHC calls for 2x shoulder to shoulder run up the hill, thru the softball fields walkway, take a right and head to corner of walking path. Once PAX is there, a quick instructure for final sprint back to the flag. Gazelles took off, some PAX as YHC were paced by a few HIMs, but we all arrive back at the flag with only one verbalized injury (and really it was just a pulled up for previous issue).
COT:
Prayers for JB injury, thanks to SkyQ for great morning, other prayer requests voiced, YHC asked PAX to step up for each other and have more involvement with 2nd/3rd F. FNG was Einstein's student, and thus got the name from Breakfast Club, Bender.
Naked Man Moleskin:
Leading a bootcamp fitness group is intimidating for super slow folks like myself, but having a plan that allows Gazelles to go ahead, and get the most out of their morning is crucial. Thanks to PieBar for accepting the weinke copy, and although I modified almost immediately… rolling with it. So many great guys, good laughs, and challenging options for fitness at War Towne. Also it's a EHing heaven as we cross paths with lots of people. So much so that one walker got cards from two different PAX on the same morning. South is rising boys, and the War Towne tour has open the eyes to all the AO has to offer!
