Intro:
“Oh that smell
Can’t you smell that smell
Oh that smell
The smell of death surrounds you” – Lyndard Skynyrd
Warm-o-Rama:
Mosey from the parking lot to the old barn, one of my favorite spots at the Witch for a little warm up.
10x SSH IC
10x Weed pickers IC
Quadmires OYO
Since it was Panhandles first time out he chose between route 1 and route 2. Route 1 it is, lets mosey
The Thang:
From the old barn mosey across the field and over the bridge to pick up the yellow trail and over to the pull up bars closest to the parking lot. Here partner up for an extended warm up since it was almost freezing, PAX performed 10 pull-ups while partner SSH OYO 2 rounds.
Once all rounds were complete let pull up bars #1 and headed down the Yellow to the expertly found pull up bars #2, same routine as round 1 except 5 pull ups since there's only 2 bars here. Since YHC surprised myself with how easily I found those bars it was time to get lost leaving the bars, just go down hill, yellow trail is there somewhere. After finding the Yellow again backtracked along the bottom half of the Yellow goat path to the parking lot. Found the trail off of Old Bull Pen that circles around and out by the fire station. With The Mole keeping track of the 6 happy to report we all made it out as a group. Still enough time for a quick round of BLIMPS.
From the parking lot up to the maintenance shed counts of 5,10,15,20,25,30. Half way to the shed that smell hits you, and it wasn't Garfield. Perfect reason to get the exercises completed faster to get away from that god awful smell.
Just enough time for a few minutes of mary
Panhandle – Captain Thors (1:4-5:20)
Legionnaire – Flutter kick.
COT:
Floppy lead us out, prayers for the spoken and unspoken, a good conversation about the struggles with tobacco use and prayers being answered. This F3 group for the accountability and transperancy to not just have 1 guy your close with to be able to talk to but a group of 10-15 almost everyday that have probably been through a similar situation or just someone to listen to.
Naked Man Moleskin:
It was a beautiful morning with some 'smooth' (YHC almost landed on my face twice) trail running, some small hills and the dogs up to this point, that was until the final excersice of BLIMPS by the shed. That type of smell with stick with you all day. Sorry guys, way to push through it though.
Special thanks to The Mole for the navigation and PUT6
