Intro:
What a nice warm morning to get things back to normal after Spring Break week. Is the warmth here to stay? Probably not. With Spring Break over, it’s time to refocus and get back to it. That seemed to be the common theme on Slack yesterday.
Warm-o-Rama:
We started our mosey at the Shovel Flag and circled up in the parking lot outside the concession area of the turf field and did the following:
Toy Soldiers – 15 IC (
Weed Pickers – 10 IC
Imperial Walkers – 10 IC
Michael Phelps – OYO
The Thang:
A couple of weeks ago, YHC was introduced to the Route 66 by F3-Harp at the Kodiak. YHC thought how awesome would this be at The Hurt Locker with all the light poles!
We started in the parking lot near the concession area of the turf field and snaked our way through the parking lot next to the LAX fields. Fist time through, the PAX did Merkins, increasing by 1 at each light pole. As Yogi and Earhart waiting on the rest of the PAX, they did Moroccan Night Clubs, a Carmen San Diego special. Since that was so much fun, we added some more pain and did Burpees this time. After we finished our second Route 66 with Burpees, we did a quick 10 count and headed to the 50-yard line of the Turf field.
Time for some Black Jacks. The PAX lined up on one sideline and would did 1 Leg Raise and then sprint to the other sideline to do 20 Hand Release Merkins. The PAX did this OYO and would increase the Leg Raises each time and decrease the Hand Release Merkins, always keeping the total at 21. After we were at 5 and 16, YHC realized that we were not going to make it to the next exercise as time was flying by. YHC called an audible and we finished at 10 Hand Release Merkins and 11 Leg Raises. Time for the next thang…
With 15 minutes time left on the clock, we moseyed down to the goal line and did the following (all together):
1. 100 yard dash to opposite end zone, complete 100 SSHs, sprint back to the goal line (starting point). All the PAX did these together.
2. 75 yard dash, 75 Mountain Climbers (Kodiak count), sprint back to the goal line.
3. 50 yard dash, 50 LBCs, sprint back to the goal line.
4. 25 yard dash, 25 Carolina Dry Docks, sprint back to goal line.
5. Bear crawl to the 10 yard line and bear crawl back to the goal line.
Finally, we moseyed back to the flag with about 4 minutes of Mary. Yogi led us in modified J-Los, Earhart in Superman painful somethings, Carmen San Diego with Crunchy Frogs and Bloodhound with Burpees. Painful way to end the beatdown!
COT:
F3 Cherokee has a lot going on. Carmen San Diego and Bloodhound discussed the GROWRUCK and how big this is for F3 Cherokee. Carmen discuss the GROWRUCK website. This weekend’s Spartan, War Towne Launch, and Race to Cure Sarcoma. Check out Slack for more info. Prayers for Earhart and Earhart’s M as they go through the adventure of pregnancy, those returning from trips last week and those unspoken prayer requests.
Naked Man Moleskin:
YHC had a great time leading these great HIMS this morning. We have a small group of regulars that really push each other and a great mix of PAX. The mumble chatter was light, but I think this was from everyone getting back into the flow of things after last week. Thanks for letting me lead you all this morning! Rest Stop Out
