Intro:

The concept of healing rain and mud….. As of late, some concern has been aired regarding the slippery nature and effects of water on trails from rain….. Today – we debunked it….

Warm-o-Rama:

Everything was set, plant the flag, snag Westside for a quick warm up run to block off the trail and head back up to collect all the men and head down White to the red convergence and circle up for a warm up sequence of counts of: 20 SSH, 10 Merkins and 10 Cotton Pickers and straight into it…..

The Thang:

Head down the white to green and scramble around to the yellow and back up to the cars…..

Pick up your coupon and head to the donut shop. The work began here….

Carry the coupon up to the cul-de-sac (missed ya LEGIONAIRE!!!! chicken!) and back to the trail entrance for 3 rounds of: 10 reps deadlifts, squats and shoulder presses. The drop your coupon and proceed.

Once completed, hit the piney trail heading to the pull up bars for 2 rounds of: 5 pull ups, 10 toe to bar, 10 Kodiak count switch lunges. Then head back to the coupons….

Rinse and repeat….. I believe we completed 2.5 rounds before time ran out and we transported the coupons back to the vehicle and circle up for some Mary…..till the time ran out.

Facing the elements can be tough…. a rainy day sometimes allows us to hesitate and be reluctant to go outside. However, everyone who does is never disappointed that they had the wherewithal to get out. Kudos to FNGs who take THE FIRST STEP to post, not to mention on an inclement weather day like today OR on a day like many did when we launched PARAGON. First steps are the hardest…. let’s be men who take the first step….. try something new, say I’m sorry, forgive, lead, open your mouth and have the hard conversation….. Just Do It!!!
