Intro:
The call for help went out and Misty was happy to oblige in taking the Q at Kodiak. It had been quite some time since I Q’d at my home AO. While walking the trails of Sawnee Mtn on Sunday and noticing pattern of them doubling back quite frequently it reminded me of a beatdown from the Kodiak’s early days that had seared a painful place in my memory. So, let’s do it again! I couldn’t find the backblast for it, so it may not have been exactly the same, but the PAX had a blast with it nonetheless.
Warm-o-Rama:
As Banjo and I were pondering the greater questions of life, like why some people can't get a hint when causing other people to do extra work because they can't shut their trap, I see a truck pulling in that looks just like C4s. C4 on a Monday, nah I told myself, he wouldn't miss an opportunity to post at the Wicked Witch. But it was him and when questioned about his choice he said he couldn't miss a Misty Q. Brimming with pride and confidence YHC got the group going promptly at 5:30 with a mosey into the stadium where we circled up next to the flag for our warm up.

Michael Phelps OYO
While doing Michael Phelps I took the opportunity to do a quick disclaimer. It seems we've fallen back in the habit of skipping the disclaimer except for when FNGs are present, but for what I had in mind I thought it worthwhile to remind even this strong group of PAX to modify as needed.
The Thang:
With an ominous feeling hanging over the group after that disclaimer we moseyed to the far end of the track. You know, the end near the pull up bars and open gate that led to the metal mountains. Here's what went down (or up) from there:
Part 1:
Start with 20 burpees
10 pull-ups
Snake the home side metal mountain
20 merkins at the bottom of the other side
Run the grizzly curve over to the visitors side
30 Big Boy Sit Ups
Snake the visitor side metal mountain
40 squats at the bottom of the other side
Run back to the start
Cricket, Banjo and C4 flew through this portion and while Cricket and C4 circled back around to pick up the 6, Banjo had to go, er, gather himself behind the bleachers. As Woody arrived I was still seriously considering a rinse and repeat, but after doing some Mary while waiting on the 6 I thought better of that.
Part 2:
See Ya when I See Ya (not really sure that's what its called, but I like it and am sticking with it)
Partner up and run opposite directions
When you see each other again do 5 bropees and continue on
Finish when you've completed 2 full laps
Part 3:
Bear Crawl Ring of Fire
PAX circle up on the 50 yd line and bear crawl until the says halt and then he knocks out 10 merkins and then the next PAX goes while everyone else holds position until everyone has done their merkins.
Part 4:
Back to the metal mountain, the home side of course since it is taller, snake it again, but this time do 10 dips at the bottom of each row. Air chair for the 6 and back to the flag where we finished the last 2 minutes with some Mary.
COT:
Prayers for C4s, Bloomers and Hombre's fathers as they are dealing with health issues. Praying for them directly as well as peace for the families and friends. Dory reminded everyone to pray for their relationships with their Ms and to review the Q-source material on the topic. Thanks again for the ability to get out in the morning and push ourselves and each other.
Naked Man Moleskin:
‘-What!? No theme, no music? Come check out Crossroads on Fridays if that's what you're looking for. This was a Kodiak Q and there's nothing else needed.
-As I explained the workout before getting started Cricket remembered a similar workout. If a workout stuck out to Cricket then it must be good.
-Woody sounded a little worried about the rinse and repeat, maybe not, but something in his voice told me we probably shouldn't do another. Or maybe it was the sounds of Banjo playing his tune behind the bleachers that convinced me to switch it up. Either way we got a solid workout in.
Great job this morning, men! As always it was a pleasure to lead you in the gloom. Misty out!
