Intro:

Looking to finish out our Resolution Ruck (50) today or at least put in some significant miles with a change of scenery. Mission accomplished on all 3 accounts. Thanks Manning.

The Thang:

Set out this morning to put a dent in our Rucking miles this morning as well as building some fellowship with each other. We started promptly at 0600 up at Garland Mountain Horse and Hiking trails. We headed off down the Sorrel trail then picking up the Greenway trail to head out. We were under Head Lamps for the first hour or so and bundled up because the wind was bringing in some weather, we were hoping to avoid. All went well, we hiked some new trails, did a little Mountain Biking and headed back. Cody was kind enough to drop a deuce on the trail side, but we managed to circumvent. We were within a half mile of the cars when C4 discovered that Cody had dropped his leash about a 3/4 mile back when he was taking care of business, he must have dropped it when he was fastening his pants. So we abruptly turned around to go back to the scene of the crime to retrieve the misplaced article, it would have been the 2nd one in recent times, that was right where we thought. So we headed back to the parking lot, for the second time, to finish out with 9.56 miles. Although we caught a few sprinkles we managed to avoid any bad weather.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Had a great Ruck this morning and with Cody's screw up I was able to complete my Resolution Ruck with .1 miles to spare. I like that this thing "Rucking" is cool and others are able to get out and enjoy it. I especially like that it forces people to get out more and hopefully discover new areas they might not have known about otherwise.
